White Vinegar
Great natural alternative for cleaning. A few ways to use this naturally produced product:
- Add a cup of vinegar to your load of washing to disinfect and soften fabrics (great for baby clothes)
- Fill the sink and add a cup of vinegar, place your fresh fruit and veggies, leave for 15 mins, then give them a light rub
- Mix 1 tsp of vinegar, 1 tsp of dishwashing liquid with 1/2L of luke warm water and apply to spills or animal accidents on carpets (blot mess as much as possible prior)
- Simmer water and vingear on stove top to rid kitchen of cooking odours, or simply leave an open container of vinegar in a room overnight
- To clean windows, take 5-10 citrus peels and place in a jar with 1L of vinegar, let it sit for 2 weeks, then strain.
- Take the above solution, add 1L warm water to soak pots and pans
- Surface spray is as easy as adding 1 tsp of lemon juice, Lavendar oil or tea tree oil to a sprayer filled with vinegar.
- To give the toilet an extra deep clean, use 1 tbls vinegar, 2 tbls bi-carb, 2 drops of eucalyptus oil to form a paste. Use newspaper to apply and rub to toilet.
- Wrap taps in a cloth soaked in vinegar and leave for half an hour to descale them
- Poor boiling water, followed by vinegar, followed by bi-carb down the sink. Leave sit for a little while,
then flush out with more boiling water
